It’s spring - officially that is! Do we dare to start imagining the garden dressed in green? I’m thinking a trip to Richters Herbs could quell the cabin fever. At Richters they have enough mint to fill a garden; I counted about 9o varieties, including “Banana Mint” and “Marshmallow Mint”!
Stepping into the lush greenhouse at Vandermeer Nursery is like that feeling of moist air slamming you like a wave when you’re lucky enough to be transported to a tropical destination! Right now the place is a sea of orchids ready for Valentine’s Day; but don’t be fooled, there’s a lot happening in this tranquil oasis including seasonal seminars for gardeners already to start planting.
